"Key the Mike" aka "Dunny"

March 23, 1996 - February 27, 2015

Dunny was a true superstar of a horse and we were blessed to have him as a member of the Kritter's Korner family for several years.  He was truly a fascinating individual with many, many layers.  He never quite came to terms with the hay loft and yet he he carried multiple riders, as they learned to ride and compete.  Everyone who rode him developed strong bonds with him, and he was always ready to work.  He was both generous and forgiving - a true "packer", who was already wearing his halo well before we lost him.

I know there is a special place in heaven for the horses that patiently teach; the ones that touch so many with their kind-hearted ways; who never hold a grudge and who keep going and trying, even when their rider isn't so sure. Dunny was one of those horses - he was the real deal. He will certainly be missed.

God forbid that I should go to any Heaven in which there are no horses.
